With over 35 years of experience cooking in the finest restaurants, our chefs are excited to present their vision of kicked up food to the city of Austin. Our caring and committed staff will ensure you have a fantastic experience with us.


Chefs Charles Cherentin and Steffi Gutierrez are a husband and wife culinary duo who have combined their cultural backgrounds and experiences to create their own unique style. Together, they have over 25 years of industry experience working for places such as The Venetian Palazzo, Valley View Casino, and St. Regis Monarch Beach. In 2015, they relocated their family from San Diego to Steffi's hometown of Granada Hills, California and opened Breadologie Bakery where they introduced Charles' old European values of Fresh Baked Bread while incorporating Steffi's fun take on French Classics. Charles and Steffi are excited to bring their personal culinary touches to Kicked Up Grub in Austin. 


Chef Samuel Albert developed his love for cooking at a very young age by spending time in the kitchen of his grandmother while residing in his home country of Italy.  Throughout the years, he has dedicated himself to refining his palate and honing his exemplary cooking skills creating elevated everyday foods.


Chef Albert combines complex flavors and artistic plating to enhance his award-winning style of Kicked-Up Grub.  He looks forward to sharing his culinary artistry with the City of Austin, his new hometown and area he loves.
